Tebunas, a selective systemic herbicide produced by Ancom. It contains the active ingredient Ametryn (44.6%), which belongs to the triazine chemical group.
Key Uses & Application
Tebunas is primarily used for the control of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds.
- Target Weeds: Effective against “Rumput Sambau” (Goosegrass), Buffalo grass (Paspalum conjugatum), and Miang grass (Rottboellia cochinchinensis).
- Target Crops: Commonly used in sugarcane and pineapple plantations. It is also suitable for oil palm areas and certain non-crop lands.
- Mode of Action: It is absorbed through roots and foliage, acting as a Photosystem II inhibitor to block photosynthesis in weeds.
- Timing: Can be applied pre-emergence (before weeds germinate) or early post-emergence (when weeds are small).
