Rainbow COLAM ZC is a broad-spectrum, pre-mixed insecticide used in Malaysia to control a variety of sucking and chewing pests. It is commonly considered a high-performance alternative to Syngenta Alika ZC, as it shares the same active ingredients and formulation style.
Product Composition and Mechanism
- Active Ingredients: Contains Thiamethoxam 12.62% w/w and Lambda-cyhalothrin 9.49% w/w.
- Chemical Groups: A combination of a Neonicotinoid (IRAC Group 4A) and a Pyrethroid (IRAC Group 3A).
- Action Type: It works through contact, stomach poisoning, and systemic action. This provides both a rapid “knockdown” of pests on contact and long-lasting protection from within the plant.
- Formulation: ZC (Mixed formulation of CS and SC), which enhances stability and effectiveness on leaf surfaces.
